Our Story
Green Mountain Treasure is the creative endeavor of a Vermont-based couple, Brandon Olson & Kaley Hixson.
Our story began in late 2018. After discovering orgonite and its protective properties, we purchased a set of three pendants; one for each of us plus our son, who was 7 at the time. We anxiously awaited for the package to arrive. When it did, we quickly fell in love with our new personal positive-energy-generators. We felt a subtle, yet distinct, shift in our energy while wearing the pendants, and before long, we found ourselves fascinated with orgonite. After a bit of research, we made our first purchase of raw materials. With a starter kit consisting of epoxy resin, metal shavings, quartz crystal points and other crushed gemstones, our first orgone energy pyramids were born. Being avid festival goers, our initial intention was to create enough pendants and pyramids to share our positive energy creations with friends at festivals. In August 2019, we succeeded in bringing our first batch of orgone energy creations to Timeless Festival in Quebec, Canada. We were thrilled at the opportunity to gift several of our friends with an orgone energy pendant of their choosing. As the 2019 festival season closed, we continued improving our process and building our collection in preparation for summer 2020, where we envisioned setting up an orgonite booth at several of our favorite festivals to help offset some of the costs associated with traveling. Unfortunately, due to the global pandemic, the 2020 festival season, like so many other things, was cancelled. Rather than give up on our dream of sharing our creations with the world, however, we instead transformed the vision. With the world being in lockdown and travel at a stand-still, we decided to go virtual and get ourselves set up online. In June 2020, we came up with our name, Green Mountain Treasure, and in July 2020, we officially opened our online shop. We still hope to bring our treasures to festivals in the future, and we are looking forward with optimism. In the meantime, we are grateful that the internet allows us to connect with so many wonderful people that we may not otherwise encounter in person!
